Our journey began with a passion for craftsmanship. In 2001, Blayne Wyton started an antique refurbishing business, which soon evolved into something more—a desire to create brand-new furniture with the character and soul of the past.
It was during a family trip through Southern Ontario and the Northern U.S. that inspiration struck. Blayne envisioned a company that would transform reclaimed wood into handcrafted furniture, preserving history while crafting pieces for modern homes.
From a small shop in Morden, Manitoba, Prairie Barnwood was born. Today, we continue to handcraft every piece using solid wood, traditional techniques, and an unwavering commitment to quality. We are proud to be recognized as a leader in Canadian furniture manufacturing, blending heritage, innovation, and timeless design.
Receiving the 2018 Manitoba Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year award was a humbling reminder that our success is built on the trust and loyalty of our customers. You are part of our story—your homes, your families, your gatherings. And we are honored to craft the furniture that brings you together.
